Land Rover has recently listed two new Range Rover Sport SV and PHEV versions on its Indian website. The automaker unveiled the Range Rover Sport in the Indian market over a year ago. It has been offered only with a mild-hybrid diesel and petrol engine till now, but now the automaker has listed two new variants on its website. The Range Rover Sport SV is available at a price of INR 2.80 crore (ex-showroom), while the PHEV Autobiography is priced at INR 2.11 crore (ex-showroom).

The Range Rover PHEV Variant is powered by a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder engine that utilizes a 38.2 kWh battery set. The engine produces power of 453 bhp and 660 Nm of peak torque. The PHEV variant comes with a peak speed of 225 kmph and can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 5.5 seconds. The battery set can be fully charged by using a 7 kW AC charger in five hours. The car gets an electric-only range of 123 km on the WLTP cycle. The automaker is only offering the PHEV Variant on the completely loaded Autobiography version.

The Range Rover Sport SV features a 4.4-litre dual-turbocharged V8 petrol engine, which is also equipped in the BMW. It churns out a maximum power of 626 bhp at 6,000 - 7,000 rpm and 750 Nm of peak torque at 1,800 - 5,855 rpm. The engine is paired with an eight-speed AT transmission that provides power to the four wheels. The SV variant comes with a claimed range of 0-100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds, and it can go up to a high speed of 290 kmph.

In comparison to the outgoing Range Rover Sport, the new Sport SV variant comes with subtle changes. To enhance the airflow for the unit, the front bumper has been updated. The SV variant is more robust; hence, it needs tires in the front and back. Also, the side skirts and front grill have been upgraded. The new variant gets dual exhausts, which makes it stand out from the outgoing version.

The company has also made significant changes to the interior. The Sport SV boasts new seats with headrests and a new steering wheel, along with an SV button that is used as a shortcut for the driving mode. The SV also has integrated headrests for the rear passengers. The automaker has not made any new cosmetic changes to the SV, and it looks the same as the other models.
